The Therapeutic Relationship and Healing
Bloomington Center for Connection offers trauma-responsive mental health services including individual, family and group therapy, using modalities such as play, art, and mindfulness work. We work with adults, adolescents and children, including caregiver-child therapy.
All therapy offered at the BCC is approached with a lens of RCT: assuming people grow through and toward connection, and that healing begins in the context of relationship. In our commitment to social justice, we offer a sliding scale for mental health and support services.
Many families may not need therapy, but do need support and information. We offer RCT- based parenting workshops that help families deepen their connections both within and outside the family circle. These workshops use play, neuroscience and relational approaches to parenting. We also have family coaching available, for caregivers who are looking for more tools in connecting with their children.
