As our 2019 Relational Summit grows nearer, we are excited to make a call for proposals for Works in Progress for our annual event on September 19-22. Relational-Cultural Theory has long had a practice of sharing “Works in Progress,” or working papers, as a way to facilitate continuous searching and interpretation and to encourage collaboration.
We have allocated several time slots for sharing current Works in Progress at our Summit. Each session is 45 minutes in duration and will support whatever interactive format best supports communicating around your ideas. These will be small-group break-out sessions and can be as formal or as casual as you prefer.
Works in Progress will vary greatly, from early concepts in need of feedback, to published articles and case studies. Have you been pondering some aspect of RCT and want to discuss it more deeply? Have you been trying to apply an RCT concept in your work and want to share how it’s going? We welcome all stages of development of research questions that explore RCT in new and interesting ways. For this Summit, we are particularly interested in how RCT impacts learning.
Some topics to get you started:
- It’s Complicated: Relationships during Social Change
- Recovery from Empathic Failure
- Collaborative Learning Relationships
- Visual Language: Making Key RCT Concepts Accessible
- Helping the Helpers: Nourishing Hope
- Where to start? Finding Voice in Overwhelming Times
- Relational Approaches to Anti-racism
- Cultural Context and Power
