Relational-Cultural Therapy Interventions

A card with the word Reconnection at the top, followed by the text: Every relationship experiences periods of connection and disconnection. Reconnection is a form of mindful repair. Reconnection requires one to take action within the relationship to make themself known

Are you interested in what Relational-Cultural Theory interventions looks like in action? Join us for our free Relational-Cultural Theory training Friday May 3, 2024, from 3:00-5:00 EST. Each month, we will explore a key RCT concept, and aim to deepen our intellectual, emotional, and somatic knowledge employing didactic, experiential, and collaborative learning.

Join us for an Relational-Cultural Therapy training session covering RCT “interventions”. We will describe structured and unstructured interventions within the therapeutic relationship. We will also examine the word “intervention” in a relational cultural context, and begin to discuss how we move from connection to disconnection to reconnection.

Demystifying RCT

RCT doesn’t fit the mold of “as seen on TV” therapy, nor does it follow a scripted manual. This can make it hard to know or describe what “doing RCT” looks like. As therapists, we have an opportunity to initiate healing through growth fostering relationships with our clients, but often don’t know how to develop this mutually growth fostering connection. Together we will demystify how we create these mutually growth fostering relationships, and form authentic connections that heal.

If you are a clinician drawn to RCT and want to learn more or deepen your work in RCT – this monthly experience may be a good fit for you! It is an opportunity to develop Relational-Cultural Therapy techniques that make sense for your practice. You can register for this workshop here!
